INDIAN CHILD WELFARE
Paul’s experience with the Indian Child Welfare Act is extensive. He has represented several Tribes in proceedings in Wisconsin, Michigan and Iowa. Paul has spoken about the Act at conferences and trainings, including a lecture to Milwaukee County Juvenile Judges in June, 2007.
The ICWA is an important tool for Tribes to influence and hopefully control the placement of their children.
Paul’s ICWA practice is committed to assisting Tribes with using the Act to meet their goals, enhance their sovereignty and promote the transmission of culture to their children.
